Passing the results of Wolfram|One calculations to the Autodesk Fusion 360

Within the development process it could be required to pass the results of mathematical calculations to the final design within the CAD system with ability to update them during changes.
For the purposes of mathematical system could be used Wolfram|One. As the CAD system – Autodesk Fusion 360.

Deploy the Wolfram|One notebook

Here’s a static screenshot of this notebook:

The Wolfram|One notebook with description is embedded below (it could require your login to Wolfram Cloud), too:

To make a query, we are passing the parameters, appending them to the URL address:

https://www.wolframcloud.com/objects/user-e2e7e7b9-b7ce-4012-8b07-3f4d0d04b0d2/cuboid?x=10

This URL will return JSON response:

Now, we can operate it from Autodesk Fusion 360.

Passing the variables to the Fusion 360

Make a design with the defined user parameters for the purposes of dimensions, and one with the URL of notebook:

To import parameters from JSON let’s will create a JS add-in:

Full code is available here: Project Loxodonta🐘
Now, start this add-in to update the values of parameters.
